I’ve never been a huge deviled egg eater, but my family is. My husband loves them. You really can’t go wrong with a deviled egg no matter what route you decide to go for ingredients. This one is a bit different and doesn’t contain pickle relish or mustard, but it does include BACON. I hope you enjoy my version of deviled eggs!

Deviled Eggs with a kick

What you will need:

Yield 24

  • 12 boiled eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large jalapeño with seeds removed and diced
  • 7 – 8 slices of bacon cooked and chopped
  • 1/4 cup chives
  • 1 T Cajun seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions:

Peel your boiled eggs and cut in half removing the yolk and putting the yolks in a medium bowl.

To your bowl add mayo, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped jalapeño, bacon that has been chopped into small pieces, chives, Cajun seasoning and pepper. Taste your mixture. If seasoning is ok, don’t add the salt. It depends on how salty your bacon is as to whether or not you’ll need to add salt to it. It’s up to your taste buds.

Add the mixture by spoonful back to your egg white. Chill and serve.
